Run your race

Often we look at other people, at how they are doing in life, in order to judge how we ourselves our doing. This is not healthy. There will always be someone who is ahead of you, so you feel bad about yourself. And there will be someone who is behind you, so you think you have arrived and stop pressing in to bigger and better things.

1 Corinthians 4:3 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself.

Paul did not even judge himself, let alone let other people’s judgments determine his actions in life. He knew he was responsible to God alone. Run your race. Focus on the outcome God has for you. He always has more for us, he believes we can do more, he believes we can do it. Stretch yourself to take a hold of everything he took a hold of you for (Phil. 4:12).
