I love the time of the altar call in our church services. These are the most important times and the pinnacle of why we do what we do.
Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
It is because there is joy in heaven that there needs to be joy on earth when we see someone turn to Christ. In church, we always give people (and God) a hand when they make this life changing decision. We rejoice with those who are saved.
The religious person will point fingers and say “but they are a sinner” without realizing that they’re one themselves. The God fearing person will know that this is in God’s heart: to see his lost people return into the family, and share a meal with them.
Which people are you praying for to be saved?
